These terms and conditions of sale (the Terms and Conditions) apply to all orders placed at Lookbook Bride for collection and custom-made gowns.

Order Process
As your wedding gown is specially made to measure, a deposit payment of $2300 is due at the time of placing the dress order. Once the design has been confirmed and the order has been placed, the deposit becomes non-refundable If you change your mind / cancel your wedding. Our showroom boasts 40 sample gowns that exhibit the expected quality of our garments. Please note that any changes to the gown cannot be accommodated once the manufacturing process has commenced. By signing the contract agreement, you acknowledge and accept all the terms and conditions outlined This is a part of the experience of a made to measure / Custom gown.
Custom Made Orders
If you have chosen a custom design based on pictures for inspiration, it is important to understand that we cannot create an exact replica While we will use similar laces and follow a similar lace applique pattern, there may be variations from the original inspiration. We appreciate your trust in our professional expertise and ask that you refrain from micro-managing the designer (that service would be high-end couture) our Custom gowns are a collaborative process it is important to brief correctly on your order and fit date.
Once we have started creating your unique design, returns or cancellations cannot be accepted for any reason. “custom” means it is specific to an individual, not of the standard designs and measurements, Lookbook Bride does not offer refunds for custom-made wedding gowns. Making changes after placing an order can be costly and cause delays in the construction process. Therefore, it is crucial to be sure about your design choice before proceeding with the order.
Collection Extras
If you order a gown from our existing collection without any modifications, there will be no additional cost. However, if you decide to change the neckline, add lace, alter the train length, add sleeves, or make other modifications, there will be an extra cost for redesigning and changing patterns. The specific cost will be quoted to you accordingly. cost Quoted
Sizing and Alterations
– ALTERATIONS: Please be aware that alterations are not included in the cost of your gown. We have made every effort to communicate this additional expense through multiple emails, signed agreements, and our website. Each gown is made specifically for your body at the time of your “ORDER AND FIT”. Therefore, it is essential to maintain your weight throughout the six-month construction period. We allow extra length in the hem for adjustments, please budget approximately $150 to $350 on top of your gown cost for any final tweaks and adjustments (hem /bust dart only) required for the perfect fit. Kindly note that alterations are to be arranged and paid directly to a wedding dress alteration specialist.
– EXTRA ALTERATIONS -SIZING WEIGHT GAIN / LOSS: Significant weight gain or loss may necessitate extensive alterations. Lookbook Bride cannot be held responsible for any changes in measurements that occur after your “ORDER AND FIT”. Please be aware that alterations such as adding new panels due to weight gain (approx. pricing: up to $800) weight loss 2kg or more (up to $600) on top of other small tweaks listed above
Shortening the train, among other changes not specified in the original gown brief, will incur additional costs. Your alteration specialist will provide a quote for such alterations. Additionally, please note that our gowns feature hand-beaded details, and there may be slight imperfections.
Delivery
Our gown designs require approximately 16-22 weeks to complete the manufacturing process after payment has been made. The lead times may vary depending on the design. Please allow an additional 4 weeks (January to May) due to our Christmas closure. Once your gown is ready, we will schedule a first fitting appointment for you, typically 4 to 6 weeks before your wedding date. We understand the importance of a stress-free process for your wedding day and have allowed ample time for alterations, which usually take 10 to 20 days. The remaining balance on your gown is due upon pick up.
Return Policy
Made-to-order products are non-refundable as they are customized products individually made for you based on the provided measurements. We do not offer exchanges, refunds, or deposit transfers on our CUSTOM-MADE Orders. All sales are final for custom-made gowns. For plus-size gowns (size 16 to 20), there is an additional 15% charge on top of the gown cost to account for extra fabric, lace, and beadwork.
Cancelling or varying a Lookbook Bride order We may terminate this Agreement and cancel your order for the Product, but only if:
- you have breached any terms of this agreement;
- we are no longer engaged in trade
- any amounts owing to Lookbook Bride are overdue by more than 30 days
- The fabric / Lace is no longer available.
You may terminate this Agreement and cancel an order by emailing us at info@lookbookbride.com.au within 7 days of your gown deposit. You are unable to terminate this Agreement after the 7-day grace period.
Order on Hold
If required, you have the option to place the Order on hold for a period of up to 12 months during which you may reinstate the Order (Hold Period). If the Order is reinstated during the Hold Period, we will complete the Order and charge you a reinstatement fee of 20% of the Order Price. If you fail to reinstate the Order during the Hold Period, the Order is canceled.
Inspection
The colour, lace, trimming, or fabric material of your gown might exhibit slight variations from any displayed “sample collection gowns.” In instances involving custom-made gowns, at times, fabric and lace samples or photographs may be presented. These shall subsequently be affirmed by you through text or email to secure your confirmation.
Bead Work
Each gown is hand-beaded freehand, there may be some imperfections and slight symmetrical differences. Beadwork on a wedding dress refers to the artistic embellishment of the dress with beads, pearls, crystals, or other iridescent materials, Beads are often used to create intricate patterns and designs on the dress, adding a touch of elegance and sparkle. The beads are indivisibly hand sewn onto the dress and can vary in size, shape, and colour.
Your Rights
Our goods and services come with consumer guarantees under Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Australian Consumer Law). Nothing in this Agreement excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law, that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by the agreement (Your Rights).
Subject to Your Rights, we will not be liable for any damage to your Gown caused by you at any time or any loss suffered by you as a result of your Gown not being ready by your wedding date due to a Force Majeure Event (defined above) Any loss suffered by you in relation to this Agreement as a result of you breaching these Terms and Conditions.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Gown and its design and to The Service, including but not limited to, copyrights to any designs. By placing an Order you grant us the right to use photographs and videos of you in your Gown that you post online for our self-promotional purposes including on our social media pages and websites.
Miscellaneous
Unlawful, void, or unenforceable clauses shall be severed from these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts of Victoria, and, if applicable, the Federal Court of Australia has exclusive jurisdiction over this contract. These Terms and Conditions may only be varied in writing and signed by both parties. We may assign or novate the whole or any part of these Terms and Conditions without requiring your prior consent.
